Katie & Charlie’s wedding at Runa Farm in Barnard Castle, was a day filled with laughter, emotion and plenty of vibes!
From the moment I arrived, it was clear this was going to be a special one. Katie and Charlie had created a day that felt incredibly elegant whilst ensuring the party atmosphere never died.
This was my first time having the pleasure of photographing at Runa Farm, and I really hope not the last. I hope to return very soon!
The morning preparations took place at Runa Farm’s, on site Farmhouse, where the atmosphere was calm and nerves were bubbling.
Katie spent the morning with her lovely bridesmaids and her talented team of Hair and Make-up artists.
Some of my favourite moments from the morning included:
– The gift exchange where the bridesmaids each received a personal, hand written letter from their Bride, Katie.
– Katies Mum helping her daughter into her dress.
– Dad’s reveal, seeing his little girl as a Bride for the first time.

The ceremony took place at Runa farms onsite chapel, and what a beautiful place to say I DO.
With its low lighting and unique decor, it is one of the most beautiful ceremony rooms I’ve had the pleasure of capturing.
Katie and her Dad walked down the steps that lead to the aisle which was a real special entrance.
With 85 guests gathered to celebrate, it was a truly special atmosphere as Katie and Charlie said their vows.
The drinks reception gave everyone a chance to relax and celebrate together. Guests enjoyed drinks and canapés, whilst being entertained by a live violinist, while I focused on capturing lots of natural candid moments of people sharing a warm hug, a laugh or a cheers.
These are often some of my favourite images from the day because they show the genuine joy and atmosphere of the celebration.
The day finished with a Sparkler exit, an amazing first dance from Katie and Charlie, followed by a packed dance floor and a bouquet toss.

After the ceremony, we took some time to explore the grounds of Runa Farm for the couple portraits.
One of the things I loved most about photographing at Runa Farm is the versatility in the backdrops. There are so many beautiful options for your couple portraits. Gorgeous scenery, architecture and gardens.
Katie and Charlie were incredibly relaxed, which made capturing natural moments really easy. Some of my favourite images from this part of the day were taken in the entrance hall with the many plants that adorn the doorway.
The Terracotta paintwork giving a Spanish feel to your images and the back garden with the rustic blue barn doors.
