Some sessions feel especially meaningful from the very start, and this was one of them. A wonderful family came together in Leeds to celebrate their grandma’s 80th birthday, choosing to mark the occasion with something truly thoughtful, a relaxed family photography session with myself, Emily Green Photography.

Instead of a traditional gift, they wanted to give her time and memories with the people she loves most, captured in a way she could treasure forever.

A Meaningful Way to Celebrate 80 Years

Turning 80 is a huge milestone, and this family wanted to ensure their Mum/Grandma was spoilt with love and gifts. What made the session even more special is that this location holds years of memories for them, it’s a place they’ve returned to as a family for a long time, across different stages of life.

We even took a moment during the session to recreate some of their old family photographs in the same spots. Seeing those comparisons, past and present, was incredibly powerful, and a beautiful reminder of just how much has changed and how the grand children have grown.

Grandma was at the centre of everything, surrounded by children and grandchildren, soaking up every hug, smile, and conversation. Those connections are what made the photographs so meaningful.
